Do not Recommend

I paid Mathias “Mark” Markus $500 for a targeted job-search service after previously paying him $450 for résumé and LinkedIn work and $395 for interview preparation. In total, I have paid him $1,345. It has now been more than a month, and I have received only one job opportunity from him that was actually worth pursuing. I clearly explained the types of positions I wanted: project management, PMO, operations, process improvement, quality, business transformation, and software implementation. I also explained that I was looking for positions in Houston or fully remote. Instead, he repeatedly sent me jobs that did not match my location, background, or experience. He sent positions in Georgia, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and even outside the United States. He also sent highly specialized positions requiring experience I do not have, including clinical healthcare, managed care, pharmaceuticals, cloud infrastructure, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD, and DevOps. In one batch, he sent me five supposedly “priority” positions. Four were not viable because they were expired, in the wrong location, overly specialized, or required industry experience I did not possess. Only one was worth pursuing. This does not feel like a targeted job search. It feels like general titles and keywords are being searched without seriously reviewing the location, requirements, or whether I am actually qualified. If I have to investigate every position myself just to discover why it is unsuitable, then I am doing the screening work I paid him to perform. I brought these problems to his attention several times. He acknowledged that the positions needed to be screened more carefully and said he would improve the search. I gave him more than a month to do that, but the quality of the service did not improve. Communication has also been extremely poor. I have repeatedly had to contact him and ask whether he has any new positions. Most recently, he told me that additional positions were available. I asked him to send them, but he did not. I then asked whether I was expected to contact him and request each position individually, and he ignored that question. After paying $1,345, waiting more than a month, repeatedly correcting the same problems, and receiving only one viable job opportunity, I am extremely disappointed with the service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mathias Markus’s targeted job-search service.
